A well-appointed golf club, where the qualifying tournament is always held for the Open Championship which will next be held in 2026. Very well situated for public transport, the club is served by the 47 bus and trains from Southport to Liverpool, being very close to Hillside railway station. The club is open to members only, but the club does cater for outside organisations wanting to organise lunches and dinners.
