Housed in an impressive Grade II listed Georgian building, the grand portico entrance leads into an architecturally-impressive interior. The club, formed in 1896, has active snooker and pool teams, and screens live sport on Sky and TNT Sports. It holds lots of internal competitions with winners getting their name up in gold leaf on one of the many honours boards. The Cask Marque accredited ale is well-kept and it has in the past been voted local CAMRA Club of the Year.. Visitors are asked to present a CAMRA membership card for free entry and drinks at members rates, a visitor can only visit 6 times in any club year, 1 September to 31 August.
